About the Human Care Network

Ira Englander

Ira Englander is President and Chief Executive Officer of Human Care Network, Inc.

Englander is an attorney and business executive with more than thirty years of experience in the hand-on development of audiovisually based educational programs, motion picture films, television productions, multimedia programs, motivation and project implementation.

In the mid-1960's Englander co-founded and was CEO of Comprenetics, Inc. Comprenetics was pioneer in the field of self-instructional media (audio-visual and print) in the health care field training entry level people in learning the skills of their trade. The initial major project of Comprenetics was the Health Employee Learning Program, a systematic series of self-instructional programmed instruction audio-visual modules which were utilized in more than 6000 health care facilities and training institutions throughout the country. The quality and success of the system induced Hoffman La Roche, a major international pharmaceutical company to co-venture and distribute the System on an international basis.

The experience of distribution and implementation of the HELP project led Englander into the training and motivation of entry level and early welfare to work personnel in other areas of need. He commenced production of programs and films for the U.S. government and other organizations in the fields of human resource training, manpower operations, health care educational programs for several major pharmaceutical firms.

Englander's expertise was recognized by the U.S. government which requested that he organize and develop educational and motivational programs for Native Americans and Hispanic farmworkers.

In total, Englander has been active in developing over 150 films, television educational videos, seminars, conferences, and implementation of other educational programs. His continuing productivity is a reflection of the expertise he has acquired in assessing behavioral attitudes and then creating audio-visual programs and learning systems that best work with, and upon these attitudes.

Englander's company has won many award for outstanding film and program production and has received many meritorious citations for work done with minorities and entry level learners.

Englander remains an active member of the California and Los Angeles Bar Associations and was an active member of the American Bar Associations and was an active member of the American Society for Training and Development as well as the American Bar Association's Special Forum Committee.
