PRODUCTION FLOW CHART

1. HCN prepares list of titles to be produced based upon research, user response, advisory board, and subject matter expert (SME) input.

2. HCN develops a list of SME’s for each topic. Transmits list of suggested SMEs to advisory board for approval.

3. Advisory Board approves or rejects SMEs and submits info to HCN.

4. HCN assign tasks to SMEs

5. SMEs prepare and submit content outline together with keypoint task analysis.

6. HCN prepares behavioral objectives.

7. HCNs submits content outline, keypoint task analysis, and behavioral objectives to advisory board for review.

8. Advisory Board advises HCN of approval of content outline, keypoint task analysis, and behavioral objectives; or makes suggestions for modifications.

9. HCN selects script writers.

10. Writers prepare audiovisual treatment.

11. Film treatment prepared by writer and submitted to HCN.

12. HCN transmits treatment to Advisory Board for review and comments.

13. Advisory Board approves or suggests revisions to treatment.

14. After revisions are made, HCN approves treatment.

15. HCN prepares print materials:
    a. First draft instructor's guide
    b. First draft student's guide
    c. Criterion test items
    d. In-film test items
    e. Second draft behavioral objectives.

16. HCN submits print materials to Advisory Board.

17. Advisory Board advises on print materials.

18. HCN assigns script preparation task to writer.

19. Writer prepares and submits script to HCN.

20. HCN reviews script, storyboard, and any print materials needing revision in light of script.

21. Approved Final scripts and written material submitted to Advisory Board for approval.

22. Advisory Board comments on final script and written material.

23. Film Production to rough cut stage is performed.

24. Rough cut of film submitted to advisory board for review.

25. Advisory Board submits comments on rough cut to HCN.

26. Field Testing of rough cut and print materials. Material recycled as need. Results of field tests and modifications submitted to advisory board.

27. HCN submits all material to internal professional department and independent consultants (including SMEs ) for sign off and approval.

28. Final sign off by advisory board.

29. Spanish translations and sound track produced.

30. Master digital tape produced in English and Spanish.

31. Reproduction units generated for sales.
