Our fine town of Fort Davis is named after the fort of the same name.
Historical Fort Davis
was the last western fort in operation.
It was home to the legendary Buffalo
Soldiers and offers an insightful glimpse into life on the western frontier.
A visit to Fort Davis
provides a connection to the Old West, the U.S. Cavalry, and every kid's
cowboy fantasies.
(It's also an unsurpassed history lesson, but we won't mention
that.)
